Credits on the TZ1 Registry

Servicing the entire environmental market

The TZ1 Environmental Registry was initially designed to meet a worldwide gap in market for credible, financial markets-based infrastructure for the issuance, holding and management of carbon credit assets. In the design phase, TZ1 developed a greater awareness of the role that credible markets-based infrastructure can play in fortifying the broader emerging environmental markets and has ensured that the infrastructure is flexible enough to serve these growing and critically important markets.

Soon after being chosen as a global registry provider for the largest standard in the voluntary carbon market (the Voluntary Carbon Standard), TZ1 was selected as exclusive registry provider for the world's first commercial tropical rainforest biodiversity project in Borneo. TZ1 has since been appointed as exclusive registry provider for the Social Carbon standard and more recently by the Climate Community and Biodiversity Alliance for credits certified to their standard.

The TZ1 Environmental Registry has gained the reputation as the world's "meta-registry", providing customers with a financial markets based facility to hold and manage all of the environmental asset holdings in one place. The TZ1 Registry is operational and holds both carbon and biodiversity credits for customers all over the world.

The TZ1 Biodiversity Registry currently lists certificates issued in the Malua Biobank, the world's first commercial tropical rain forest biodiversity and conservation project.
